UGANDA : Sad Sudi to lead Power against former side Canons
KAMPALA- For four seasons, UCU largely built
their team around Sudi Ulanga. At the start of the year, however,
Tanzanian guard decided to end his relationship with the club by signing
for Tiger Head Power.
Having failed to win a championship in Mukono, the
move to the five time champions was seen by some as one that would
enable him win championship, a notion that he highly disputes.
“It was really sad leaving, but having benefited
from a scholarship Ithought it was time to let other players to also get
that opportunity,” the player said yesterday.
Today, he will be the centre of attention as his former side come to town for a game against his Power side.
“It will be tough playing them because they know my game but i will obviously try and do my best,” he added before admitting he’s really yet to settle with his new team.

“It will take time and hopefully we gell by the end of the regular season,” he stated.
He is averaging 17.5 points from his first two games this season including 13 on Friday as Power outlasted Our Saviour 74-67.
“He was certainly one of our best players but his departure also
means that other players can step up and take more responsibilty,” UCU
Canons coach Nick Natuhereza said of his former player recently.
Star Tmes Falcons meanwhile made it three straight
wins with a fairly comfortable 73-64 win over Warriors despite Mark
Opio’s game high 32 points for Gad Eteu’s side.
