TANZANIA / ZANZIBAR : Polisi Maintain Winning Streak in Isles League

Zanzibar — POLISI maintained their winning streak in Zanzibar Basketball League after defeating Mwembetanga 93-46 in a one-sided match at the Maisara courts here on Friday.
The match started at a cracking pace as both teams came looking for victory, but it was Polisi who were dominant in each quarter and deserved the victory. Another match saw Mbuyuni defeating New West 66-64.
It was a see saw encounter and it was difficult to separate the two teams. The league was expected to continue yesterday with a match between New West and Africa Magic in men's category, while in the ladies category New West and African Magic will face off.
Meanwhile, Zanzibar Karate Association (ZKA) was facing a challenge to get venues for training, ahead of various international tournaments.
