The warm up matches will be part of the national team's preparations heading into this year's continental basketball show piece that will run from 19th to 30th of August, in Tunisia .
Speaking to journalists at a press conference on Thursday, Tashobya said,
We(FUBA) are expecting friendly matches against Kenya and in Turkey so as the team gets some build up games before the Afrobasket tournament. We shall also play local teams and select sides also as part of our preparationsNo dates have been confirmed for these build-up games yet but their is strong possibility that things will go according to plan and games will take place.Uganda who are making their maiden appearance at the prestigious event were pitted along side powerhouses Tunisia and Nigeria.
