Kampala International University (KIU) Titans are set to host the
first basketball invitational tournament, the KIU Invitational
Tournament.
The tournament will take place this weekend from March 7-8 at Kampala International University main campus in Kansanga.
Six teams – City Oilers, Tiger Head Power, UCU Canons, Ndejje
University Angels, UPDF and hosts KIU Titans will participate in the
university’s inaugural tourney.
The teams will be grouped into two and the top two in each group will
qualify for the semis and then a chance to play at the finals for a
chance to play for the prizes. KIU’s team manager says the invitational
tournament is to help in building a brand. “We are trying to build a
brand” he says.
The KIU Invitational tournament date collides with the Women’s Day tournament that will take place at YMCA.
