Basketball in Africa

The Federation of Uganda Basketball Association (FUBA) Women’s Day basketball tournament is on this weekend.
The two day event will take place at YMCA from Saturday, March 7 through to Sunday 8th. Over fifteen teams have confirmed participation in the event.
There are both schools teams and established women’s clubs that will compete for glory at the tournament.
The teams will be classified into two categories – the high school category and the adults.
UCU Lady Canons, KCCA Leopards, KIU Rangers, MUK Sparks, Nkumba Lady Marines, Amazon Rhino, Magic Stormers, Javon Ladies, Galdiators and Angels are some of the clubs that have confirmed participation in the tourney.
Meanwhile, Ndejje, Kibuli, St. Mary’s Kitende, Buddo, Nabinsusa and Crane High are some of the Schools that have confirmed participation.
The event will be graced by Investment Boss, Dr. Maggie Kigozi and legendary women in the game.
The tourney is sponsored by FUBA, APRH and Rwenzori.
