TANZANIA : Major Basketball Tourney Revived

Dar es Salaam — FIVE countries will contest the renewed East and Central Africa Basketball Inter-cities championship in Tanzania later this year.
The host country - Tanzania, defending champions Egypt, Ethiopia, Kenya and Uganda will battle it out for honours in Dar-es-Salaam on May 27-31.
Addressing media, Cities Executive Officer, Wesonga Agina, said a sponsor had been secured to help stage the event.
"For the last few years, we have been unable to take both teams to the tournament due of lack of funds. This time, we hope to have the men's team on board as well," Owino said.
