UGANDA : FUBA Playoffs: City Oilers, KCCA complete their clean sweeps
M: Sharing City 54-75 City Oilers (Oilers win series 2-0)
W: Crane High 30-117 KCCA Leopards (Leopards win series 2-0)
The series between top seeds City Oilers and Sharing as well as KCCA Leopards and Crane High were always not going to present any surprises.
And so it was; when title favourites City Oilers and KCCA Leopards completed the sweep of Sharing and Crane high respectively on Wednesday night at YMCA. Oilers and Leopards were too dominant a force to contain let alone to stop.
City Oilers followed their 87-47 game 1 beating of Sharing with another emphatic 75-54 win over the debutants. James Okello scored 13 points and picked 13 rebounds to lead the Oilers who were once again with out start players Kami Kabange and Ben Komakech (Knee). Arou Ramadhan added points 12 and Samuel Kalwanyi chipped with 10.
Kutai Gatwech had game high 25 points for Sharing and Tonny Okello added 10.
Meanwhile KCCA Leopards put another century past the school side, Crane High. Claire Lamunu had another 30+ points performance netting game high 30 points in the 117-30 win. Babra Namukaya contributed 22 points and Flavia Oketcho had 17. Jackie Basemera and Halima Nabusimba chipped in with 13 and 10 points respectively.
Nakkazzi and Terry Nailo scored 9 and 8 points respectively for the school side.
KCCA Leopards will face A1 Challenge in the second round while City Oilers will play the winner between UCU Canons and Falcons whose decider will be played on Sunday.
