KENYA : Equity Bank Set to Face Strathmore Inplay-Offs

EQUITY Bank will meet Strathmore University in the Nairobi Basketball Association (NBA) women's play-off final.
The bankers, who are the only unbeaten side in the league, swept Daystar University 64-30 for a 3-0 series win. Linda Mfuchi scored 13 points for the bankers while Claire Muthusi pepped the students with 12 points.
Strathmore also beat Footprints 42-31 to take the series 3-0. Jemimah Night propelled the winners with 11 points while Priscilla Mutie replied with 13 points for Footprints.
Don Bosco qualified for the men's finals with a 78-61 win over Strathmore University. Joel Atebe scored 28 points while Keith Okeyo scored 20 for the students.
They had pipped Strathmore University 64-55 in Game 3. Joel Atebe scored 28 points for the winners while Keith Okeyo paced the losers with 13 points.
Emyba forced game 5 with a crucial 60-59 win against Mount Kenya University, Thika. Maxwell Miya topped with 21 points while Lameck Namwini scored 11 points for the students.
MKU Thika had walloped Emyba 74 -62 in game 3 to take a 2-1 lead. The deciding game will be played this Saturday and the winners will take on Don Bosco in the finals.
Lameck Namwini led the students with 16 points while Patrick Ruto and Emmanuel Ekai with 18 points.
University of Nairobi 'Dynamites beat Zetech University 35-27 in a classification game. Adeline Munguti scored 10 points for the winners.
Zetech University beat Neosasa Morans 69-62. Ian Muindy scored 19 points for the students while Joseph Achega scored game high of 34 points in a losing effort. 4-Christ won over Ulinzi 41-38.
