UGANDA : Vegetarian to count on Otto for UCU clash
Vegetarian are 4-6 and in eighth position on the 12-team league log going into their final first round game against UCU canons.
One of those four victories however came against TigerHead Power, one of the sides with the best roster in the league. It is for that reason that UCU Canons should be wary of their opponents when the two teams meet today at YMCA for their final first round games.

Vegetarian also recorded their first win in five on Sunday beating Charging Rhino 67-62.
They will look to John Otto for a fifth victory in
the absence of last year’s regular season MVP Ben Okumu, who is not
expected until the second round because of academic engagements abroad.
Otto is averaging 17 points from his last three games and top scored with 21 points against Rhino with Mark Ongom adding 16.

The Canons (6-4) are meanwhile, coming off the
back of a 65-59 loss to Power over the weekend in a game in which they
were competitive but clearly missed Sudi Ulanga.
The star shooting guard has been missing with a knee injury and is likely to sit out today’s encounter as well.
In his absence coach Nicholas Natuhereza will hope for similar or better shifts from power forward/centre Ivan Rumanyika, who led with 12 points and 13 rebounds against Power.
