City Oilers have won three straight games and are 7-0 since losing to UCU Canons on the opening day of the season.
Vegetarian, meanwhile, are winless in three games since the shock 66-54 win over Tiger Head Power.
Both sides’ contrasting fortunes are expected to continue today when the champions City Oilers and Vegetarian face off in the pick of the games of the Airtel National Basketball League at YMCA court.
Both sides’ contrasting fortunes are expected to continue today when the champions City Oilers and Vegetarian face off in the pick of the games of the Airtel National Basketball League at YMCA court.
Oilers showed, last week that they are still the
team to beat after a 66-60 triumph over six time champion Falcons in
which MVP Kami Kabange had 18 points and 16 rebounds and Ben Komakech
16.
The second men’s game will have Ndejje University
Angels, 61- 47 winners over Vegetarian, hoping to kick-start what has
been a poor start to the season.
The same though cannot be said of their opponents KIU Titans, who at 6-3 have had a decent start to the season.
The Kansanga-based side will once again look to
Francis Kasekende and guard Chris Omanye, who scored 17 and 13 points
respectively in the 79-63 over Charging Rhino in their last game.
