REIGNING national champions Co-op Bank of
Kenya defeated Strathmore Blades 68-57 in KBF Premier league duel at the
Moi International Sports Centre (MISC), Kasarani.
James Mwangi scored 16 points for the bankers while Titus Musembi
added 15. For the students' Robert Hope managed to net 14 and Valentine
Nyakinda posted 11.
Thunder struck Nairobi Aviation College (NAC) 94-62, behind game high
of 43 points from Griffin Ligare. Felix Luke and Frankline Delano
managed 18 points and Job Byron made 10 points for NAC.
Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) went into over drive humiliating Nakuru
Club 121-65 in a one-sided demolition. Dickson Aran and Samuel Ochola
managed 20 points each. Nakuru's James Okerio collected 23 points.
In the women's matches, Co-op Bank nipped Ulinzi Blades 59-58. Linet
Atieno scored 16 points and Grace Wanjiku 12. The soldiers had 22 from
Bridgid Nanzala and 15 from Rebecca Serange. At the Nyayo Stadium
gymnasium, former champions Eagle Wings eclipsed Kenyatta University
'Oryx' 40-27 as veteran Eunice Ouma made 13 points. In the lower
division matches, Trailblazers pipped Kenya College of Accountancy (KCA)
University 59-58 while Eldonets beat Parklands Baptist 59-42. In the
Nairobi Basketball Association (NBA) provincial matches played at
Railways Club, UoN Dynamites beat Gladiators 40-39 while Zetech College
trounced JKUATS Juja 31-29.
