UGANDA : Warriors look to prodigal son Okias against Ndejje Angels

KAMPALA.
Having lost to KIU Titans and made to sweat for their victory over Nkumba Marines in their first two season games, Riham Warriors have looked like a mid-table team.
One of the reasons for the indifferent start has been a thin roster. Coach Gad Eteu concurs that the lack of numbers on the bench has hurt them. “It is true,” said Eteu in regards to Warriors’ thin roster.
“But we are working to rectify that situation as soon as possible.”
Fixing that situation is expected to start today with the return of prodigal son Steven Okias, who will be making a season debut.
Okias played for Ndejje last season, who are coincidentally Warriors’ opponents today.
The three-time league top scorer departed Warriors last year after revealing that the club had drifted away from the club’s vision of recruiting young players and developing them as part of a family.
“He should certainly play tomorrow,” was Eteu’s reply yesterday when asked about Okias featuring in today’s game. The coach hinted that Ivan Enabu could also make a u-turn and play for Warriors although the guard was unveiled at rivals Power during the transfer season.
“We only have to sort out a few details to enable him (Enabu) feature for us tomorrow,” he explained.
The pair is expected to link up play with guard Sedar Segamba, who has been the shining light with 28 points in two games thus far. Ndejje will be hoping to improve their offensive approach after their 59-39 loss against UCU Canons in their last game.
