It is now two out of two for Falcons and scoring atleast 85 points in each of the encounters. TheFalcons
made no work of the Charging Rhinos with an 86-58 victory on Sunday
evening. Steven Omony scored game high 28 points to lead the way for
Falcons, Syrus Kiviiri added 22 points and Steven Tumwesigye grabbed
game high 12 rebounds to go with 4 points off the bench. Rashid Male the only Rhino to reach double figures, had team high 16 points and Abel Omoding contributed 8 points.
After
the loss to City Oilers the last time out, Tiger Head Power bounced
back with a 76-63 win over new comers Diamonds in the Sun. Philip Ameny
scored game high 19 points and picked 9 rebounds to lead Power (2-1).
Paul Odong chipped in with 16 points and Paul Mwaka scored 10 points to
go with 13 boards. DITS (1-1) were led by Frank Ikabert with 16 points
and Felix Olaba added 15 points.
In
the women’s division, A1 Challenge suffered a third straight loss as
they fell 57-48 to Magic Stormers on Sunday. Mariam Birungi scored 15
points and picked 6 rebounds to pace A1.
Barbara
Okot added 10 points. Stormers were led by last season’s regular season
MVP Carol Nyafwono with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Racheal Nanyonga
chipped in with 10 points.
KIU
Rangers beat fellow university outfit Nkumba Lady Marines 53-40 behind
Florence Nanyonga’s 21 points and 9 steals. Susan Amito backed her up
with 15 points and 9 rebounds. Barbara Gimbo had 17 points for Lady
Marines.
