KENYA : Pirates Dim Feba in Top NBA Showdown

OLD Pirates dimmed Feba 60-45 in a Nairobi Basketball Association league show at Railways Club. Aaron Abuya whose clutch shot saw off Panda 52-51 last week, continued leading the team from the front as he nailed a game high 17 points while Evans Okulo made 15 for the losers. Mount Kenya University Nairobi overcame Our Lady Queen of Peace 66-60 behind 22 points from Brian Ndigiro and 14 from Steve Muga. John Otieno bagged 21 for the losers.
Technical University of Kenya posted a 60-51 win in their season opener against Ulinzi with Derrick Mboga scoring 19 points while Steve Omollo posted the soldiers' 16.
Joel Atebe continued his scoring feat hitting 22 as he guided Don Bosco to a close 51-50 triumph over 4 -Christ who had 14 from Abram Yuol. Daystar University felled Woodley Knights 48-33 as David Julius shot 10 for the students. Jeff Muthi's nine points saw All Stars nip Legacy 33-29. Brian Oluoch and Alex Ratemo combined for 12 points to lift Pandas to a 40-38 win over Neosasa Morans. Joshua Akida posted 14 for Morans. Machakos Hawks punished Embakasi Dynamoz 39-35 behind 10 points from Meshack Nzuki. The losers had 21 from Charles Ongweno. In the only ladies tie, Daystar University had 12 points from Claire Syokau but it was not enough to avoid a 32-31 defeat by University of Nairobi "Dynamites".
