KENYA Ports Authority (KPA) teams posted
strong wins in their basketball premier league ties at the Nyayo
National Stadium gymnasium. Reigning champions KPA women had to fight
hammer and tongs before they nipped a hard fighting Sprite Storms 51-50
in a cracker. The men on the other hand had it easy as they crushed fast
fading Lions who have found winning difficuilt 82-56. Nairobi Aviation
College (NAC) were whipped 68-35 by United States International
University (USIU).
At Upper Hill School, Griffin Ligare and Nelson Njau led Thunder to
an emphatic 83-44 thrashing of the University of Nairobi "Terrorists".
In lower division matches at the same venue, Little Prince beat Africa
Nazarene University (ANU) 49-43 in a close tie. Upper Hill School
thrashed Mombasa County 61-44 despite having tired players who had just
returned from the U-18s show in Kampala, Uganda. Kenya College of
Accountancy (KCA) thrashed World Hope 60-39.
