EQUITY Bank women'as team showed they are a
team watch when they thumped Daystar University 69-36 in their maiden
Nairobi Basketball Association (NBA) tie at Railways Club. The bankers,
who are eyeing a move to the premier in only their first year, had Irene
Ondago and Linda Mfuchi to thank as each posted 18 points.
University of Nairobi 'Dynamites' who were making a return after a
long absence, were not so lucky as the were pipped 21-26 by seasoned
Gladiators. Strathmore University beat Zetech 44-30 in the other women's
clash. In the men's category. 4-Christ made a triumphant return as they
posted an easy 81-67 win over Legacy. Dan Imbali managed 24 points for
the winners while Lameck Onyancha shot the losers 13.
Francis Wanaswa scored season high of 31 points as he guided Daystar
to a 58-45 win over All Stars. Other matches saw Derick Kioko nail a
last gasp three pointer as Feba beat Embakasi Dynamos 52-49. Don Bosco
lost 73-61 to Emyba who had Collins Ochilo nailing 24. Our Lady Queen of
Peace pipped Woodley Knights 38-37.
