RWANDA : Espoir aim to maintain unbeaten run in league

DEFENDING CHAMPIONS Espoir will go into today’s basketball league against Gisenyi at NPC Gymnasium aiming to maintain their unbeaten run.
According to head coach Jean Bahufite, the two-time reigning champions are keen to keep their unprecedented record
“We are going into tomorrow game with an aim of winning. We will not change our mentality or approach, and we will continue to look for more wins because we want to win the league with an unbeaten record for a third consecutive season,” he told Saturday Sport.
Espoir is in second position with 12 points after winning their opening six games, one point behind APR, who have played a game more, while Gisenyi are in ninth position with five points after losing three games and winning one.
The Espoir vs Gisenyi game will be preceded with the game between University of Rwanda College of Education and Rusizi at the same venue, starting at 10am.
The actions will continue on Sunday when 30-Plus host Rusizi at Kimisagara youth sports center, while United Generation basketball Club will be up against Gisenyi at NPC Gymnasium.
