ANGOLA : 1º De Agosto Vs Interclube Main Highlight of Angola Cup in Basketball
1º de Agosto and Interclube will face each other this Thursday in the Victorino Cunha Pavilion, in Luanda, in the first leg encounter of the opening round of the Angola League Cup national competition, in senior males basketball.
Both teams are going through different situations in the National Championship, with 1º de Agosto occupying the second position with 34 points, six more than Interclube, in the fourth place.
Interclube, with a modest team, can look at the Angola League Cup competition as an opportunity to conquer a trophy in this season, since the probabilities to dispute the title are greatly reduced.
In their turn, 1º de Agosto have one of the best squads in the country, with experienced players who can unbalance any match.
Given these details, 1º de Agosto, the national champions, are the favourites, but usually in the second largest national competition the motivation is different from other matches and this can encourage Interclube.
