KENYA : Ulinzi 'Blades' Cut Footprints to Close in On League Crown
ULINZI "Blades" moved closer to winning the Nairobi Basketball Association (NBA) women's title after beating Footprints 62-27 in Game Two match at Railways Club. Sarah Anyango led the soldiers with 18 points while Peris Magembe hit 11 including 3-three pointers. Scoring leader Bridgit Nanzala had nailed 39 points to guide Ulinzi to a 69-25 Game One victory. Magembe shot the losers 9 points.
Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUATS) Juja reached the men's finals after beating Baraka Xtreme 72-62 for a 3-1 series win. Guyton Kijuba was on fire sinking 28 points while Amos Wachira limped for 26 points. JKUATS will now meet either Dankind Academy or Mount Kenya University (MKU) Thika. Dankind and MKU are 2-2 in the series after the former won 59-49.
In the classification matches, BBK Eagles flew over Africa Nazarene University (ANU) 59-40 while BBK Eaglets also had the better of ANU 38-15.
