KENYA : Strathmore to conduct basketball Scholarship trials
Strathmore Blades are set to conduct Basketball trials for all those interested in joining the side from December the 13th at the University’s Madaraka Sports Complex. The University, famous for its investment in Sports will use the chance to select the students who will join the team and who shall also benefit from a Sports Scholarship that tunes to 75% of successful players’ tuition fee.
While making the announcement, the team’s head coach however said the minimum requirement for students who will be interested in landing the slots in his side and eventually be handed scholarships must have a minimum grade of B+ in KCSE and must be very disciplined.
The program has seen former players of the side grow into professional in the business world among them former Captains Joshua Oswani and Allela Clifford secure jobs at DTB Bank and Deloitte respectively just to mention a few.
