1º de Agosto?s small forward Cedric Ison was decisive in his team?s 84-77 victory over Interclube, in the first round of the 5th edition of the Victorino Cunha Senior Male Basketball Cup.
The US player who was elected MVP in the last season was decisive, despite not having been the best scorer for his team in the match.
The 14 points he scored, 10 of them in the late part of the third quarter and early part of the last quarter, made the difference and turned things against the opponents that all along stood in an advantageous position.
Interclube performed better in the first half of the match that ended in a favourable 36 -28 score. 1º de Agosto managed to balance the game in the third period of the match and kept the trend down to the end of the encounter, counting on the experience of such players as Armando Costa, Mário Correia and Reggie Moore.
On Wednesday, 1º de Agosto will be hosting Libolo, while Interclube will Play Petro de Luanda.
