UGANDA : Nkumba hand Warriors second loss in a row

KAMPALA- University sides must be loving games against Riham Warriors during this spell when they are unconvincing or rather willing to cede some ground.
The champions lost to Nkumba Marines, 58-56, on Sunday night at the Lugogo MTN Arena, a second defeat in as many games.
Ndejje University Angels did beat Warriors 84-69 last Wednesday at the same venue in the Airtel National Basketball League
Geoffrey Soro scored 24 points to earn Ndejje their biggest result yet and Nkumba’s Brian Sivanchi didn’t mind picking a leaf. Sivanchi scored 17 points and 15 rebounds and Wilson Otweyo added 18 to withstand the pressure for a team that has only eight players, of whom one played under four minutes. Jude Ochen and Andrew Okot scored 13 each for Warriors but those were too few to avoid a fourth defeat that left them with a rather unpalatable 10-4 win-loss record. Warriors led 56-53 with 18 seconds on the clock only for Nkumba to tie it with a three-pointer then an Otweyo lay-up with two seconds won it.
