Nigeria: Nbbf Shifts Training Camp to Sept
The Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) yesterday announced a shift in the opening date for D'Tigers' camp from August 12 to next month.
Announcing the shift, in a statement made available to Daily Trust, NBBF President Tijani Umar said the training camp, earlier fixed for Abuja has been rescheduled to allow the foreign-based stars to sort out their club duties and academic programmes.
"After consultations with coaches and academic advisers of national team players, especially those in the USA who have been invited to the training camp earlier scheduled to open in Abuja on August 12, 2013, the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) has resolved to modify the training camp and tournament dates for the team to enable the players work around their school programme and club duties.
