RWANDA : Espoir hits UGB

DEFENDING champion-Espoir basketball club enhanced their surge for this season’s basketball league title with a 102-58 win over United Generation basketball club over the weekend.
The bright start has seen Espoir win their five opening mathes, a feat which has left head coach Jean Bahufite convinced in as far as retaining the title is concerned.
“I think we have started well and we will maintain this great performance. There are so many matches to be played, can’t think about winning the title now. We must only improve on our style of play and hope that we maintain winning,” added Bahufite.
In other matches, Rusizi defeated former champions APR 73-63 before recording another 85-82 win over Kigali Basketball Club 85–82 on Sunday.
Circle Sportif de Kigali lost their weekend encounter 66–85 to United Generation.

In a related development, Rwanda basketball federation with the support from the Olympic Solidarity is hosting a 10-day clinic of Level 2 coaches at Amahoro stadium.
Tunisian expert Dr. Cherif Muhamed Habib is undertaking the course where ten Rwandan and one Burundian coaches have confirmed their participation.
This is a highest level coaching course of FIBA coaches.
