Angola: African Champions Begin Training On July 15

Luanda — The national senior female basketball team, African champions in 2011, will begin preparing the defence of African title on the 15th of July, according to the programme divulged Tuesday, in Luanda, by the Angolan Basketball Federation (FAB).
The document to which ANGOP had access states that the athletes will be presented Wednesday and on the same day it will begin the medical exams, so that on the 15th the squad can start training.
The national squad will afterwards travel to Spain where they will carry out from 5 to 12 August a training programme based on control games.
The team's trip to the venue of the competition in Maputo, Mozambique, is scheduled for September 15.
The competition will happens from 20 to 29 September.
The national squad are in group B with Cape Verde, Mali, Cameroon, Kenya and Nigeria.
Below are the names of the summoned players, as well as their respective clubs:
Catarina Camufal, Mereciana Fernandes, Astrida Vicente, Ngendula Filipe, Nadir Manuel, Judsite Queta, Sónia Guadalupe (Interclube), Fineza Eusébio, Rosa Gala, Helena Francisco, Nacissela Maurício, Felizarda Jorge, Madalena Félix, Ana Gonçalves, Luísa Tomás (1º de Agosto), Madalena Valentim (Juventude de Viana), Rosemira Daniel (Grupo Desportivo do Maculusso), Clarisse Mpaka (France) and Whitney Miguel (France).
