UGANDA : UCU to face A1 Challenge

UGANDA Christian University (UCU) Lady Canons guard Maureen Amoding has said that the side will cope without Peace Proscovia in the Airtel National Basketball League today.
UCU will take on A1 Challenge at YMCA courts in Wandegeya.
“We are going to miss her services but with the depth we have, we can cope,” the 2010 women’s MVP Amoding, stated.
“I am confident we shall do the job well because I trust my teammates and we are ready for our opponents.”
Inspirational player Peace is with the She Cranes team taking part in the Africa Netball Championship in Malawi.
UCU and A1 will meet after battling in the playoffs last season.
At that time, Canons registered a 3-0 series win over their rivals in the quarter finals. Amoding will link up with the team’s players like Angella Namirimu, Francis Nabulobi and Putity Odhiambo.
A1 Challenge will look Liz Bazira, Vicky Ntale and Sylvia Nakazibwe.UCU are in second position while A1 are sixth overall.
Meanwhile, UCU defeated Falcons 101-91 in the men’s category of the natuional league on Friday
