SEYCHELLES : IOCC - Anse Etoile Stars and PLS Hawks to represent Seychelles

Seychelles will be represented by Anse Etoile Stars and PLS Hawks at this year’s Indian Ocean Club Championship in Mauritius from September 28 to October 6.
Defending men’s and women’s first division champions PLS Hawks and Anse Etoile Stars are not new to this competition as they have taken part on a number of occasions.
However, Seychelles’ only winners in the competition are Premium Cobras who won the title twice back in 1999 and in 2005.
Anse Etoile Stars are so far leading the women’s league and if they can keep up the good results in the second round of the season, it will surely provide a massive boost for them by the time they make the trip to Mauritius to face the champions of the other countries of the region.
PLS Hawks have already suffered two defeats in the first round of the men’s first division and will be hoping for a better showing in the second half of the season if they are to stand a chance of retaining their title.
The Plaisance-based club will surely not want to head to Mauritius on the back of a disappointing season and must work hard to avoid it.
Meanwhile, the national league’s second rounds will start on July 2.
