LIBERIA : Timberwolves Eye LBA Championship Title

First Division Basketball Club Timberwolves has vowed to win the Liberia Basketball Association (LBA) first division Championship this season.
Speaking to reporters recently in Monrovia, the president of the club Dr. Tobias Bowen said his administration will do everything possible to capture the first division title this term.
"Despite we are new in this division; we are decisive to take the day if any chance comes on our way during the competition," he said.
The local sports administrator also disclosed that plans are on the way of taking potential and young Basket players from the Club for greener pastures in Holland very shortly.
Dr Bowen furthered explained to this paper that he has established a link with a sports promoter who currently based in Holland and will soon embark on evaluation of talents in the team.
He pointed out that Country like Liberia which the game is the second widely played sports do not have professional Basketball players abroad.
The former Uhuru Kings Basketball player said he is happy to give back to Liberia Basketball program, and promised to make Timberwolves a viable Basketball Club in the Country.
"I directly involved in developing young players that's why I throw my weight behind the Club in scouting potential and discipline Liberian Basket player to move them to Europe to become professional athletes for the Country,"he said in a laden tone.
The Redemption Hospital Administrator called on the National Government through the Ministry of Youth and Sports to support Basketball program in the country through the Liberia Basketball Association (LBA) to create more recreation for its citizens.

The former Liberia Basketball international furthered lamented that the sports commission on Broad Street in Monrovia which currently being used by the Liberia Basketball Association facilities need to be improved to avoid injury on players why on their respective assignment for their various Clubs in the ongoing LBA national leagues season.
