SEYCHELLES : Mont Fleuri look to retain women’s title

Mont Fleuri are a match away from retaining their women’s Curtain-raiser title but they have to overcome Anse Etoile Stars in today’s final.
On Thursday at Victoria Gymnasium, defending champions Mont Fleuri booked their place in the final with a 92-51 victory against Juniors.
The Mont Fleurians snatched a last-second 66-65 win against HotShots in last year’s final to replace the Stars as champions.
The Stars beat HotShots 63-25 in the other semifinal.
Today’s women’s final is at 3pm at Victoria Gymnasium.

Meanwhile, the men’s final is between PLS Hawks and MBU Rockers at 5pm at the same venue. The Hawks qualified for the final with an 89-76 win against Premium Cobras, while MBU Rockers outscored Baya 10-3 in overtime (OT) to down coach Michel Malbrook’s team with an 87-80 victory in the other semifinal.
