RWANDA : We'll Progress to the Knock Out Stage-Mutokambari

THE men's national basketball team has chances of progressing to the knock out stage of this year's Afro-basket competition which will be held in Ivory Coast in August, head coach Moise Mutokambari has said.
Rwanda is in Group B with Afrobasket's champions Tunisia, north African rivals Morocco and debutants Burkina Faso.
Speaking to Times Sport, Mutokambari said, "This is a good group though tough. Besides defending champions Tunisia which has a strong team, I believe we can have good performances against Morocco and Burkina Faso in order to progress to the knock out stage,"
"We need to train and prepare effectively because this will help us to stage a promising display. I am optimistic we will make a difference this time round," added Mutokambari.
Rwanda will open their campaign against Burkina Faso on August 21; face Morocco two days later before winding up the group stage against Tunisia on August 25.
In the last edition held in 2011 in Madagascar, Rwanda finished 12th while her opponents Morocco finished in sixth position. Tunisia beat Angola 67-57 to lift the title, which qualified them to represent Africa at the London Olympic Games
