KENYA : Nairobi up preps for Inter-Cities basketball championships

Nairobi Basketball Association Chairman Ronny Owino says preparations are going on well ahead of the Inter Cities basketball championship to be held in Kampala Uganda from the 29th of April to 5th May.
The chairman says the federation will do everything possible to see Nairobi is being represented well in the championships and bringing back the titles. Nairobi and Mombasa won last year’s women’s and men’s championships respectively held in Kampala.
“We are working to ensure our players get the necessary assistance ahead of their championships bearing in mind that we have to win trophies. We have great players who can deliver the results.” He said.
The cities that participated in the annual event in 2012 were Nairobi, Mombasa, Kampala, Mogadishu, Hargeisa, Mukono and Moyo.
