KENYA : College side demolish persistent Bankers in men’s Division one league

Zetech College rose to raid persistent Equity Bank 71-60 in a Kenya Basketball Federation (KBF) men’s Division One league played at Nyayo stadium on Sunday.
Joshua Okumu and Brain Simiyu contributed 14 and 13 points to the students as Godfrey Abuya sunk 12 for the bankers.
Both teams had a balance of force in the initial quarter which ended 15-15. Equity then rose in the second to win 18-14 to take the lead in the breather.
On sensing danger, Zetech College head coach Job Munene pumped his charges with secrets that saw them dazzle on resumption, winning the third quarter 18-12 and the last one with a whooping 30-9.
“I changed our tactical approach in the half but what aided our win was good coordination among my players, they were receptive,” Munene said.
Munene confided to FeverPitch that they suffered an 82-38 loss to Umoja on Saturday due to overconfidence by his charges.
“My players became bombastic following our first win against Parklands Baptist,” added Munene.
