NIGERIA : Women's Basketball League Starts Saturday
The National Women's Basketball League will be officially opened on Saturday with the opening ceremony and the opening match.
The opening ceremony, which organisers say will be superb, will start at 2 p.m. while the opening match will start at 4.00 p.m. at the indoor sports hall of the National Stadium.
The opening fixtures will be played between Sunshine Angels and FCT Angels in Group A; followed by Dolphins of Lagos versus Delta Force of Asaba in Group B.
The organisers said invited more than 20 secondary schools in Abuja for the opening ceremony while additional attractions at the event include music and dance by top Nigerian artistes. The invited schools will get free T-shirts, snacks by Drumstix, and basketballs.
The official partners for the event include Sports Radio 88.9 Brila FM, PREMIUM TIMES, 7-UP Bottling Company, Drumstix, Tonnies Water, Bolingo Hotel & Towers, and Africa Independent Television (A.I.T).
