NIGERIA : Milo School Basketball Begins March 4

All is now set for the commencement of this year's Nestlé Milo Secondary Basketball Championship with the state preliminaries dunking off on March 4 to end on March 18.
Unfolding plans for this year's edition which is the 15th in the series, Category Business Manager, Milo, Mrs Adedoja Ekeruche, said this year's theme is 'Champions! It's dunking time! And it exemplifies Milo's goal of building future champions through sports.
After the state preliminaries, action will shift to the four conferences which will run between April 15 and May 15.
The conferences are Atlantic, Western, Confluence and Central. While the Atlantic will hold in Enugu, the Western will hold in Akure with Lokoja as venue for the Confluence and Ibadan as venue for Central.
According to the sponsors, every participating team will be given N160, 000 each and the teams which qualify for the national finals will be given N200, 000 each.
Winners of the four conferences will go home with N30, 000 for first place, while the second and third placed teams will receive N25, 000 and N20, 000 respectively.
"This year, all the champions will be celebrated in their schools and states," said Ekeruche.
