KENYA : Narok High Impress to Win the County Schools Basketball Championship Title
NAROK County basketball reigning champions Narok Boys High school extended their dominance in the game after they retained the title during the county secondary schools Term one 'A' at Maasai Girls' High School ground.
Narok were declared the winners after they scooped six points in a round-robin basis. Ololulung'a boys finished second with three points while Kilgoris placed third with no point. In their opening match, Narok coached by Seela Kuluo, edged out their perennial rivals Ololulung'a boys 26-13. Cheered on by the home fans including their Principal Karoki Ngethe, Narok won the first quarter 10-5 before they took the second 5-3 after aggressive attack. After the break, Longisa tactician changed the tempo of the game and won the third quarter 6-3. In last quarter, the champion managed to get five baskets while the other team also managed to score the two baskets. The second match saw Narok beat Kilgoris 43-12 with Ololulung'a running over Kilgoris 24-22. In girls' category, St Mary's won the title on silver plate after their opponents failed to turn up.
