KENYA : Eagles Wings Start Women's Cup Defence Against Western Delight in Kakamega
REIGNING premier league womens champions Eagle Wings open their title defense in Kakamega against Western Delight on April 6.
According to the Kenya Basketball Federation (KBF) fixtures secretary Joseph Amoko Delight's lopening match will be an away in Mombasa where they will face off against Kenya Ports Authority and NYTA Shimba Hills. League runners up, United States International University have a date with Sprite Storms in their first tie of the season. The opening matches are scheduled for the weekend of April 23-24.
Teams that joined the top flight from the Nairobi Basketball Federation -Kenyatta University "Oryx" and Kenya College of Accountancy (KCA have a date with Storms and Mennonites respectively.
Nairobi Aviation College and Nakuru Club who joined the top tier league after clinching the top two lower division spots will face a baptism of fire as they will play third placed Lions and runners USIU Tigers respectively. Equity Bank, Strathmore University and Little Prince who moved up from NBA league and face Trailblazers and Kenya Airports Authority (KAA).
