UGANDA : National Basketball team off for Zone V Basketball tourney
And he hopes that the momentum is still with the selected team which has entirely trained for 18 days.
The FUBA president Ambrose Tashobya was delighted with the preparations of the teams and more so delighted with the Friends of Basketball who helped in the travel arrangements, NCS helped in securing the kits and the jerseys for the teams, ROKO gave in 5 millions shillings.
At least 70% of facilitation is covered and only 30% is being awaited from the government at least by Friday.
The Uganda team leave this weekend Sunday and Monday for the games in Dare salaam that start on the 21st January.
The team comprises of 24 athletes, and they include;

Ben Komaketch, Emma Enabu, Ikong Joseph, Ronnie Kasewu, Jimmy Enabu, Steven Omony (Capt), Norman Blick, Peter Elugant, Henry Malinga Sam Gombya, Geoffrey Soro and Ivan Lumanyika

Women’s selected side
Maureen Omoding, Flavia Oketcho, Aisha Nakabubi, Vicky Ntale, Angela Namirimu, Elizabeth Kiiza, Monica Siima, Peace Proscovia, Nisiima, Winnie Onyango, Edith Nansobya and Lamuno
Confirmed participating countries include Egypt, Kenya, Hosts Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, Uganda and Somalia who have brought only the men’s team
