KENYA : Indasi named MVP at African Cup of Nations qualifiers

Kenyan international and USIU Flames’ shooting guard Hilda Indasi was named the Most Valuable Player in the women’s category at the just concluded Zone 5 African Cup of Nations Qualifiers that were held in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
Indasi who was also the 2012 KBF Premier League MVP had an outstanding performance playing an integral part for Kenya as they qualified with a 100% record for the African Cup of Nations that is scheduled for August in Mozambique.
Indasi, Vice Captain of the Kenya team at the tournament was in sublime form in terms of getting points for Kenya and in some of the matches that she played, had an impressive 32 points against former champions Rwanda, 26 points against Burundi and 19 points against Egypt.
Kenya had beaten Uganda in the last match 77-57 to emerge top and gain qualification while the men’s team was 3rd after beating Somalia 72-63 in the 3rd place play-offs.
