NIGERIA : 'Mark D Ball' - Full Force, Apa Queens Makes Second Round
Full Force of Abuja Basketball team has qualified for the second round of the ongoing 'Mark D Ball' Basket tournament in Otukpo, Benue State.
In its first game, the team defeated Bethlehem Basketball team of Otukpo 37:33 while also going on to edge Braves of Makurdi 41:38 to be sure of a second round berth.
In the Female category, Apa Queens whitewashed Rockers 37:9 in their first game while also thumping Delta Force of Asaba 31:19 to win two out of two encounters.
ASPAC of Cotonou saw off Hard Rockers of Abuja 38:31 in its first game while ESPN of Otukpo beat Shooters of Lafia 52: 39 in one of the other games.
Otukpo United edged SUBA of Suleja 30: 28 in its first game but went on to lost against Blame It On Experience 29:41 in the second game. The team need a win in its third game to qualify for the next round.
Veterans of Abuja were to much for Pepete Shooters of Lafia to handle as they ran away 27:25 winners over the Nasarawa State team.
In the Female category, Beloved Sweeties of Makurdi trashed Pearls of Makurdi 41: 8 but later fell to SAPCLN Queens of Abuja 15:24 in their second encounter.
However, SAPCLN of Abuja were unable to handle the Dolphins of Lagos State as they went down 24:32 to the Lagos side in the second match. They need a win in the third game to scale through.
We were the best
Speaking after his team's victory, Skambo Morison Abuja Veterans said his team was too much for the Lafia side to handle.
"We played well and we deserved the win."
The Veteran forward expressed optimistic that the Abuja side was going to make it to the next round.
