Namibia: Egypt Eases Past Zambia in Fasu Basketball Match

The Egyptian Basketball Male Team on Tuesday made light work of the Zambian team at the ongoing sixth edition of the Federation of Africa Sports Universities being held in Windhoek.
Clearly the higlight of the day, the game between Egypt and Zambia attracted a huge crowd which came to witness the two teams battle it out on the courts for the second time in three days. The two teams had met on Sunday in the first match in which Egypt also came out tops.
In the second match on Tuesday, Egypt survived an early scare after the Zambians led 21-19 in the first quarter of the game, but the Egyptians eventually came out 85-70 victors.
Also on the same day at the UNAM Gym Hall, the Namibian Woman's Basketball Team did the country proud by walloping the Botswana Women's Basketball Team 80-63.
The Namibian team stamped its authority from the beginning of the game, seemingly getting stronger and stronger as the seconds ticked.
Eleven countries are taking part in this year's Federation of Africa Sports Universities Games which where originally scheduled to be hosted by Senegal.
The event brings together hundreds of University students from across Africa to participate in different sports codes namely: Volleyball, Basketball, Football, Netball, Table Tennis, Chess, Karate and Athletics.
The games started 15 December and will run until Saturday 22 December.
