Nigeria: Seven Nigerian Refs Pass Fiba Zonal Course

Seven out of the twelve Nigerian referees who sat for the Zonal Referees Clinic held in Lagos recently have scaled through. Fiba Africa, the continental basketball governing body which conducted the course released the results over the weekend. Fiba said out of the twelve Nigerian referees that aspired and attended the course between October 9 and 2, seven were successful and have been certified as Fiba graded referees.
They include Alimi Olayiwola Afeez, Shofoluwe Samuel Abiodun, Adekanbi Olusegun Adesola and Gambo Musa. Others are Obochi Patrick Joseph, Ogunleye Opeyemi Oluwaseun and Okedeyi Razaq Olakunle.
The Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) while congratulating them enjoin the successful referees to bring their newly acquired competence to bear in their basketball assignments.
