NAMIBIA : Tsumeb Learns to Shoot Hoops
Tsumeb — The German Olympic Sport Commission under the guidance of Peter Schey conducted a four-day basketball clinic in Tsumeb for teachers and coaches last month, followed by another 2-day clinic two weeks ago.
The clinics were aimed at advancing the skills and tactics of basketball that should help teachers and coaches to develop basketball in their respective teams. Organisers were satisfied with the attendance where participants showed a lot of interest despite the rainy weather during the course of the two training events.
In addition, the German Federal Foreign Office donated equipment to further their basketball development in the Oshikoto Region, which included basketballs, rims, cones, bags, scoreboards, pumps and bibs.
