Nigeria: 200 Kids for Jemirota Basketball Clinic

All is now set for the commencement of this year's annual Jomirota Basketball and Life Clinic slated for Minna, Niger State capital from the October 20-30 at the Ultra modern sport complex.
The basketball clinic which is in its fourth edition is being organized by "Time out 4 Africa" a US-based nonprofit sports organization.
This year's basketball clinic will attract over 200 kids age between 5 to 18 years from the 25 local government areas of Niger State, and the organizers said is aimed at enriching children through education and the game of basket ball.
According to the Director of Time out 4 Africa Sports Organization, Mr. Jonathan Kolo in a statement made available to Trustsports yesterday, this year's clinic is been held in the memory of late Barrister Joseph Kolo who died two months ago and late Emmanuel Kolo for their contribution to the success of the annual basketball clinic.
He said the one week clinic will feature the game's basic skills acquisitions by the kids such as 3 on 3 competitions, free throws, 3 pointers and instructional clinic for both boys and girls, adding that the elimination rounds for all competitions will start on Thursday.
Kolo disclosed that medal and awards will be given to winners and participants at the end of the one week event.
Speaking further, Kolo said Time out 4 Africa Basketball Organization is already into discussion with some interested individuals, donors and organizations to help make the annual basketball and life clinic a national event starting from next year.
He expressed satisfaction with the qualification of D'Tigers for the basketball event of the just concluded London Olympic Games, stressing their performance at the game notwithstanding the qualification alone shows that the game is growing in the country.
