LIBERIA : Massive Shifts in Ducor Magic

The Liberia Basketball Association 2011/2012 2nd division runner-up Ducor Magic says massive recruitment is expected in the team ahead of their national league kickoff.
In an exclusive interview with our sports desk, the head coach of Ducor Magic Howard Sieh said about six experienced and matured players to form part of the team as they prepares to taste 1st division basketball next season.
The veteran Liberian sports tactician clearly stated that most of the guys that qualified the team to 1st division won't be given the green light to ply their trade with the team next season.
"Not all those qualified the team are qualify to next in the next division, this is universal" he maintained "some will be appreciated for job well done at the same time training with the team until other team can put in for them and few will be taken in the 1st division league" he said.
According to him, most of the players will be dropped due to indiscipline and lack of form in previous season.
Letting the cat out of the bag, Mr. Sieh noted that Ducor Mgic first season in the Liberia Basketball top notch competition will be used to build a team for the following season despite new faces joining the team. He stated with a mandate from the local basketball house on Broad Street that a team should register fifteen (15) players; he is anticipating carrying about ten (10) players to get a stronger team.
Meanwhile, Ducor Magic basketball team Manager Howard Sieh is urging incoming player to not demand what is being paid to players of LPRC Oilers, NPA Pythons and Uhuru Kings from the owner and fancier of the team Mr. Amos P.K.Brosius.
He pointed out that those are autonomous of government and as such can not be compared to private run business institution, but however maintained that at the level of the 1st division league, there will be lucrative salaries for the team. "My advice to players in Liberia is to hold on to their talents first and their wishes will arrive later, is the wrong will of beginning their careers" he stated.
Ducor ended the 2nd division league as a runner-up to eventual winner Timber Wolves after losing three of the best out of five matches.
