SIERRA LEONE : Llewellyn Cole Boosts Basket Ball

Former Sierra Leonean professional basketball player, Llewellyn Cole who is based in the United States on Monday donated two sets of basketball jerseys and two spardling basket balls to young players at the National Stadium basket ball court.
Speaking to young players, Cole said when he first visited Sierra Leone he realized that the association and players lacked enough equipments that would up keep them in playing the game.
He continued, “I believe this two set of jerseys and balls will take you a long way and will serve as inspirational tool to keep you going. You`re the future players of our beloved country and I want you to put more efforts in playing basketball, He advised.
He advised the young players to take their education very seriously as it plays a vital role in their careers.
He said “In the US no one plays for the basketball if you`re not enrolled in a college, adding that the young players should concentrate on both their academic work and the game,” He fumed.
Llewellyn has also donated series of basketball materials and equipments to secondary schools in the Western Area. He promised that he will continue to boost the young lads with basketball equipments in the coming years.
