Masinde Muliro coach Abel Wafula has warned the 2011 KBF Premier League Champions Co-op Bank that they should not expect a walk in the Park as they travel to Kakamega to face the students at the Kakamega Police canteen this weekend.
Placed second on the log with 24 points Coop Bank go into the match with a clear mind of wanting to extend their win and keep pressure on current leaders KCB .MMUST on the other hand are placed 7th on the log with 19 points. In the first leg of the fixture the Bankers beat MMUST 83-77 in a hard earned match in which Alex Lugasi the then point guard for MMUST gave the bankers a run for their money winning baskets at will.
However Lugasi has since moved to the coast based Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) but Wafula is not worried about this, "We have new point guards who are capable of shooting and on top of that Wena Sialo a power forward who had taken a break from the University is back and he can provide the necessary experience, so I am not worried."
"We have stepped up training and we will have the home ground advantage so Co-op should expect a tough encounter." Wafula concluded.
