Kenya College of Accountancy University ladies basketball team is at the helm of the Nairobi Basketball Association League (Div 2) despite pressure from fellow students Kenyatta University Oryx who are in second position. KCA has 34 points from 16 wins and 2 losses.
Oryx on the other hand have only lost one of their 17 matches (33 points) when they went down to Sylvia Kamau’s Strathmore 40-37. Oryx maintained the pressure over the weekend when they beat Safe Spaces 47-32 on Saturday then seeing off Kenya Polytechnic 43-23 on Sunday. Strathmore Swords (3rd place) also have 33 points but have played 18 matches compared Oryx’s 17 matches losing 3 of those.
JKUAT who registered double wins over the weekend when they humiliated Mt. Kenya University 80-17 then held off Footprints 36-33 on Sunday are in 4th position with 28 points followed by Multi Media University with 27 points.
In the second half of the standings Safe Spaces who saw off MKU 32-23 on Saturday are at position 6 with 25 points from 19 matches while Barclays Bank Eaglets are at 7th with 24 points. Foot Prints and MKU who both lost their weekend matches and also share 23 points are at 8th and 9th respectively with Foot Prints having played 18 matches while MKU have participated in 20 matches.
The last are two teams are EMYBA and Kenya Polytechnic with EMYBA having 22 points from 3 wins and 16 loses while Kenya Poly have 3 wins, 12 loses and forfeiting one match.
