Uganda's women representatives in the regional club basketball tournament, UCU Lady Canons and KCCA Leopards will be back on court today in 'must win' games. Lady Canons will hit the court first against Don Bosco.
The local champions lost to Eagle Wings on the opening day and have to beat a relatively weak opponent to progress to the next phase of the championship. The university side has to take better care of the ball than they did in the first game and all their scorers have to put up the figures.
Lady Canons rely on four scorers, Peace Proscovia, Lorene Akinyi, Moreen Amoding and Purity Adhiambo for points, however, two of them came short in the loss to Eagle Wings on the scoring end. Peace Proscovia & Purity Adhiambo have to put up figures.
Meanwhile, after terribly falling to KPA, KCCA Leopards have to beat Jeshi Stars to move into the semifinals. Leopards played an ugly second half scoring just once from the field of the many attempted in the 20 minutes.
They scored 8 points in the half, 6 from the line. KCCA's second half score was a point less than the first quarter performance.
