Nigeria: Don't Put Pressure On D'Tigers - - Daudu

The former manager of the Nigerian under 19 Basketball team, AdekaDauduhas said that Nigerians should not pile up pressure or stop supporting the D'Tigers despite their loss in their second game of the Olympic basketball game against the Lithuanians.
In an interview with LEADERSHIP SPORTS in Lagos after the match,Adekasaid the game of basketball was not a mathematics despite beating the Lithuania at the qualifier in Caracas, Venezuela, does not imply that it will continue like that, noting that Lithuania is a super power in Basketball.
"This is the time to support D'Tigers and the best so far at this Olympic Games in London is that they try to qualify. They defeated the African champions Tunisia in their first ever game at the Olympics. During the FIBA African championship, Tunisia beat Nigeria which also the same that applied to us too in our second game against Lithuania," he said.
"Don't let us mount pressure on them, this is their second match in the Olympics and for anyone to say they should go and beat France and USA and other to win gold, will amount to piling up pressure on the players.
"For D'Tigers to have been in London is a big experience, but if God is on their side as i pray, they could get something beyond our imagination but we should hip pressure on them." Nigeria will slug it out against the defending champions USA in their third match tomorrow (Thursday) by 10:15 am, Nigerian time.
