Basketball in Africa

Kenya Commercial Bank basketball team (KCB) on Tuesday evening started their campaign at the ongoing Zone 5 regional basketball championships with a 95- 59 win over Tanzania’s ABC. The match was played at the Lugogo gymnasium in Kampala Uganda.
The Kenyan team dominated in all quarters of the match 25-13, 18-16, 23-12 and 29-18 with KCB’s Anthony Were emerging as the highest point’s scorer with 16 points and Tobias Nyandima 15 points. ABC’s Kisoky Juma scored 19 points.
Earlier on Tuesday regional defending champions KPA ladies defeated Jeshi Stars from Tanzania 91- 38 (16-09, 23-10, 23-13 and 30-06 ).
On Wednesday, reigning Kenyan champions Eagle Wings will play Tanzania’s Don Bosco, KPA will play KCCA
